Local Liberal Democrat Euro MP, Diana Wallis, recently visited the Springboard Business Centre in Stokesley. The Centre, part-funded by the EU through its European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), hosts a number of knowledge based, high tec businesses at the site on the Stokesley Business Park.
Diana Wallis MEP met the Centre Manager, Sharon Lomas, and Geoff Herbert, Economic Development and Tourism Manager at Hambleton District Council. She also spoke to a number of the business people currently occupying units in the centre.
Diana Wallis said:
"I was delighted to see how EU money had been put to effective use in the setting up of this project. Not only is the Centre showing full occupancy currently, which has to be a good sign given the recession going on around us, it is an award-winning building in its own right coming as it does with a high environmentally-friendly specification."
